Terms of Use

In one sentence: By using PastePlate-AI you agree to these terms. Subscriptions are billed through your app store. The app stores your data locally; AI coaching uses the clipboard or, if you turn on API mode, goes straight to the provider with your key. Not our servers.

1. Who we are

PastePlate-AI is provided by PastePlate-AI (“we”, “us”), Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under no. 95357211. Contact: support@pasteplate-ai.com.

2. The service

PastePlate-AI is a local-first nutrition logbook with optional premium features (“PastePlate Premium”). We do not run a PastePlate-AI server. By default you copy prompts to an AI service of your choice via your clipboard. If you turn on API mode, the request goes from your device straight to that provider with your key. We do not operate that AI for you and have no AI server in between.

3. Subscriptions (PastePlate Premium)

Products: auto-renewing subscriptions, including Monthly and Yearly plans, as shown in the app and app store.
Free trial: eligible plans may include a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid plan.
Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

On iPhone and iPad

Billing: payment is processed by Apple (App Store), not by us directly.
Manage / cancel: use your Apple ID subscription settings.
Refunds: handled by Apple under App Store policies. We do not process refunds directly.

On Android

Billing: payment is processed by Google (Play Store), not by us directly.
Manage / cancel: use your Google Play account subscription settings.
Refunds: handled by Google under Play Store policies. We do not process refunds directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the app except where law allows, or use the service unlawfully. You are responsible for your device, backups, and how you use AI services.

5. Not medical advice

PastePlate-AI does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice. Content and AI output are for informational purposes only. Consult a qualified professional for health decisions. See our Health disclaimer.

6. Privacy

Your logbook data is stored on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app and website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms when the app, subscriptions, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

9. App stores

Downloads and in-app purchases via the Apple App Store are also subject to Apple's terms. In case of conflict regarding billing on iPhone or iPad, the App Store terms may apply to the purchase transaction.

Downloads and in-app purchases via Google Play are also subject to Google's terms. In case of conflict regarding billing on Android, the Play Store terms may apply to the purchase transaction.

10. Governing law and contact
